While the new and improved little black streamer won't be released until sometime next month, STRV is taking part in Apple's early access program – which means that an exclusive dev kit is on its way to our Prague development offices.
This is the first time Apple TV will support third-party developer apps, and we can't wait to get our hands on it!
“There is no reason not to believe that the latest version of Apple TV won't be an instant success. We have already gotten numerous requests from clients for third-party apps. I think Apple's new tvOS has a bright future and am thrilled that STRV is going to be at the forefront of this cutting-edge technology,” says STRV CEO David Semerad.
The future of TV, according to Apple boss Tim Cook, is apps. We couldn't agree with him more.
“I am looking forward to creating new apps for Apple TV,” says Martin Prusa, iOS developer at STRV who will be leading our Apple TV development efforts. “This is a great opportunity for STRV to expand its services to meet our client's evolving needs.”
Apple TV hasn't been upgraded in more than three years. In addition to its new tvOS, the TV will feature a streamlined interface and advanced search functions as well as Siri integration.
