We're on a roll!

STRV will host its third hackathon of the year at Impact Hub Brno on August 15. The event, focused on iOS and Android smartwatches, is open to all interested developers and designers.

You will definitely not want to miss out on the action. In addition to getting a chance to spend the day with some of the top talent on the Czech tech scene, we will also be making a big announcement.

“Brno has been on our radar for quite some time,” says STRV CEO David Semerad, who will be flying in from Los Angeles for the hackathon. “We have many super talented people from the city on our team already. I'm happy we can organize something cool and engage in Brno's famous tech community.”

The hackathon is free, but teams must register beforehand. We are already compiling a panel of guest judges who will be looking for great app ideas as well as eye-catching designs for iOS and Android watches. Each member of the winning team will receive a smartwatch of their choice – either an Apple Watch Sport or Moto 360.

“A lot of really cool ideas emerged from our Apple WatchKit hackathons in Prague and San Francisco earlier this year,” says STRV COO Lubo Smid. “I can't wait to see what Brno engineers and designers come up with on August 15.”

There will be enough devices on hand to test your apps and of course plenty of food and beverages throughout the day. Register for STRV’s Smartwatch Hackathon Brno at Eventbrite.
