With campaigns like #ILookLikeAnEngineer taking over social media in an attempt to break down stereotypes that have long plagued the industry, STRV wants to take this discussion to the next level.
We are hosting a boat party on August 21 dedicated to women in technology.
“There a lot of amazing female leaders in today's global IT sector, but we need more – a lot more,” says STRV CEO David Semerad. “It is proven that the best performing teams are diverse teams. Over the last year, we have boosted the number of women working at STRV and have seen how much more effective our work environment has become.”
“Ideally, we'd like to even it out and have a 50-50 balance at STRV,” David adds. “But we need to get the discussion rolling and attract more women to the IT industry that has been primarily male-dominated for far too long.”
LadyTech aims to break down gender stereotypes. Speakers from IT companies and startups will outlined ways to attract more women to the tech industry and the benefits of having a diverse office environment. The event will take place abroad the Bohemian Rhapsody from 7pm to 11pm. The ticket price includes catered snacks and beverages.
