After a successful inaugural run, our popular Developer Meetups are kicking off 2016 with a look at Android Studio as well as a short introduction to Kotlin, a hot new programming language for JVM and Android.

The first meetup will take place at our Prague headquarters on January 28, followed by a second meetup on the same topics at our newly opened Brno office on February 6. STRV engineers will discuss tips, debugging and how to develop plugins for Android Studio. The program will wrap up with a presentation on Kotlin, which has been an evolving trend since first hitting the tech scene in 2011.

The meetups in Prague and Brno are open to all interested engineers. Both are free — just make sure to sign up on Eventbrite beforehand.

We are pumped that our Developer Meetups will be making their debut in Brno this year and look forward to getting more intimately involved with the IT community there!

“I am excited that we have started organizing dev meetups in Brno. The ‘Golden Ship’ is full of top technical universities and successful startups. There is so much potential,” said Petr Nohejl, a lead Android engineer at STRV’s Brno office. “I hope to see a large turnout on February 6. We have a great program planned!”
