January was the month of Android for us. We published articles on Android UI testing and Debugging in Android Studio on our blog, and we held two Developer Meetups focused on Android Studio and Kotlin — one in Prague and one, for the first time, in Brno.

You can find photos from both events on our Facebook page: Prague and Brno. Marcel Syrucek and Roman Palkoci focused on Android Studio tips & tricks, debugging and templates during their part of the presentation, while Artem Ufimtcev introduced Kotlin — a hot new programming language for JVM and Android. Both events concluded with a practical workshop on plugin development for Android Studio led by Lukas Hermann. The workshop included live coding, so attendees could practice developing a plugin for themselves.

As a small gift, all attendees received an Android Studio Cheatsheet. You can download both versions here: Mac and Windows.

If you took part in any of these events, we really hope you found them interesting and useful. And if you couldn’t make it, don’t worry, we recorded the Prague Meetup for you:

Follow us on Eventbrite or Facebook to find out more about future events. Our next Meetup on Git has already sold out, but you can put your name on the waiting list (Prague, Brno), and we will contact you if a spot becomes available. Hope to see you soon at any of our upcoming events!
